A custom domain allows you to receive email at a domain of your choosing (such as @yourdomain.tld)

You can host the email for your domains with Google App, Zoho or other providers with few bucks, providing you have a Standard or Professional account. When you have create your mail server you can create aliases for each user. Though free providers have limited users.

You'll need to purchase a domain from a domain registrar. If you already have a domain to go to go for setup your private mail server. If you setup VPS or Software as mail server then you can create unlimited mail user or mailbox.
